Ruger P89 Slide

I want to re-finish my (blue finish) slide from my P89, but the local guy were asking $125 for it...seems a bit much.
Plus a non-sense 6 weeks turn around time, no way I am handing my slide to him!

Any suggestions??

You can definitely beat that price, don't know about the turnaround time.

Does it have to be blued or could you tolerate a plated finish?

Here's a company that will do a slide in a high-tech metallic finish for $79.

I've not done business with them so I'm not recommending them, just pointing out a cheaper option.

For that kind of cash--I'd consider getting a whole new gun and keep your old one for a beater.

Don't know why I didn't think of this first...

Contact Ruger and ask them how much they charge to refinish a slide on one of their pistols. I suspect it will be quite reasonable.
