Ruger MP9

There's a first for me - I've never heard of a Ruger MP9 or even seen an image of one until I just looked it up. It sure looks like a MAC to me. I wonder if any of those ever made it into the NFA registry?

According to Wikipedia, the MP9 was designed in the 1980s by Uziel Gal, but Ruger didn't actually make it until 1995. So unless Wikipedia is wrong (which is definitely possible), it looks like none were made prior to the 1986 closing of the machine gun registry.

Lol, about 6yrs ago I was issued a MP9 because there wasn't enough H/K MP5s to go around. It worked just fine. Slower rate of fire than the MP5. It was pretty rouge as far as adding optics. Fortunate I was finally issued the MP5 couple yrs ago.

Looks a lot more like a Micro-Uzi with a polymer lower than a MAC; though I guess there is a point where tiny, open-bolt, stamped steel, 9mm subguns all start to look alike.
