Ruger Mini-14 in 9mm

Okay folks I sitting here watching American Justice and it is discussing a prision guard shooting. Anyway they keep talking about a guard using a 9mm rifle. Every picture shows a Mini 14, was the Mini-14 ever produced in 9mm??

No. It was probably reported to be "a Ruger 9mm semiauto rifle": The PC9. So they just found a "Ruger semiauto rifle" and thought they got it right.
