Santa just dropped off a Ruger LCR to me for Christmas. I think it will be a great pocket gun, just one thing the hogue tamer grips are a bit sticky. Anyone know if there are wood grips to be had for the LCR?
I'm only aware of one alternative grip for the LCR at present. It's the Crimson Trace Laser Grip. Be advised that the Hogue Tamer Grips are very effective at minimzing felt recoil. There will be a price to pay in increased recoil with almost any change.
He's right.....there will be a HUGE price to pay without the Hogue on there. I own this gun, and I shot one with wood grips that a guy custom made for his LCR. It transformed it into a total beast that I wouldn't even want to shoot very much.
If I had to get it out of my pocket fast I won't care if my hand is a little sore. I just don't like the soft rubber grips on a pocket carry gun. I have a S&W 649 that has wood grips and it is a hand full but does not get snagged coming out of the pocket holster like the soft rubber does.
