Ruger LCP Ejection Pattern Question

Got a new LCP for the wife (#375-series) and took it to the range today. Use Win white box 95-grain flat-nosed ammo. It ran fine and didn't recoil as harshly as we had expected. However, the brass ejects nearly straight up. I'm guessing 80-degree angle to the right and 80-degree angle to the rear.

Is this normal for LCPs? I'm used to brass going over my right shoulder or thereabouts, but the LCP is kicking it up so the brass falls onto my right ear.

That is normal, the range I shoot at has brass catchers on the side of the shooting station and my .380 brass from my LCP doesn't even make it to the catcher. Sometimes it lands on my head:( When I use a little better round it throws it out a little further.
