Ruger Deerfield - Opinions

Trying to get a handle on owner opinion of this rifle. Have just purchased but won't get a chance to shoot in the next month.

Opinions??? Strengths, weaknesses, ammo problems, etc.?

I've been looking at one---but wish it had more shots. Do You know if its gas or recoil operated??

Even though it only has a 4+1 capacity, I want one bad. It would make a darn nice deer rifle and a nice secondary battle rifle. If I bought one, I would definately stock up on mags.

Its gas operated. Thats whats keeping me from buying one.
Gotta' shoot my lead!
