Ruger Blackhawks In Same Holster

I have a Blackhawk 357 6.5 inch barrel. I had a full flap field holster make for it that fits it well.

I am seriously consider purchasing a Blackhawk convertible 45 Colt and 45 ACP 5.5 inch barrel. They look the same and as the 357 is actually heavier I am thinking they would both fit just fine in the same holster (not at the same time of course for the smart ellecks among us).

Anyone have any actual experience with this.

Thanks in advance!

Work just fine. I used to have just one holster. My 7 1/2" BH justs fits without the barrel protruding. Have used it for all my revolvers from 4 3/4" to 7 1/2" . Now I have two. A left hand for 5 1/2" or less.

I bought an Uncle Mikes nylon "sidekick" holster for a Ruger Buckeye 6-1/2" bbl. I sold the gun but kept the holster.

The same holster fits my Super Blackhawk 5.5" bbl 44mag & Ruger MKIII hunter with 6-7/8"bbl. All I had to do was adjust the thumb strap a little from the 22 to the 44.
