Ruger Bearcat issue

Bought a brand new Ruger Bearcat today and it was functioning fine in the store. I got home, took it out of the box and could not pull the hammer back. I took it completely apart and put it back together and now it works fine. Any idea what happened on the ride home? Gremlins maybe?LOL

Who knows, who cares?

Have you shot it yet?

If so, does it work?

That's all that matters. Probably a snag or a grit. Again, so long as it performs the workings, its good.

I'd guess the base pin wasn't seated all the way in, and let the transfer bar hang up under the firing pin. You probably seated it properly when you reassembled it.

I believe you fellas are exactly right about the base pin. Between me and the gunshop employees handling it, I'm sure someone pushed the release button and it came out slightly. Getting ready to head to the range and try it out.
