Rossi Model 92

Maybe some one out their can help I have a Rossi model 92 lever action rifle My dad bought about 20 to 25 years ago it wa a dealer promotion thing it has the saddle ring and is factory engraved reciever with "gold Plating" on reciever iit only has about 150 rounds of 38 special through it and is in near pefect condition my Question is does anyone know what these are worth If i remember correctly Rossi said they were only going to make 1500 of these. the reason I am asking is I plan on useing it for CAS but if it is valuble I will just get a new Marlin Any help would be apretiated thank you

Your Dad probably would have wanted you to use and enjoy his investment. You can shoot it and still take very good care of it. That sounds like a sweet gun.

I agree, shoot and enjoy. "Someday" the additional features may mean something from a collectors point of view but that is then (maybe) and this is now. Rossi 92s are fine shooters. Save your collection wall for Winchesters. OTOH, if you are still concerned, older Rossi 92s from the Interarms era abound in that caliber--for fairly cheap...you can pick one up for your shooter and keep your embellished one for show. JMO.

Plain ole Rossi 92s are going for around $300 $400 these days in very good + condition.

The Blue Book does not assign any more value to the engraved models.
It actually list the engaves model at $10 less than the standard model

But I can't find any reference to a special run
