Rossi .357 ?

I have a Rossi 2" .357 in SS model # 877. I bought it new in 1997. The Rossi website shows the same gun now but the model# is now R46202. Does anyone know why they changed the model number? Here is a pic of the gun.

i have an older 971 that isn't on their site anymore, i think maybe it's due to taurus buying out the company?

their quality has increased dramatically. they now have a lifetime warranty. i suspect they did some changing on things they wont cover from the older line and also just because of normal changing of the line and features.

I know, but prior to the Taurus deal, Rossi's were junk! :barf: Not an opinion, but a former Rossi owner x 2!!!
