Rossi 22 pump

A fried of mine just got a rossi 22 pump. He wants to know some stuff about it.

When were they made?
What country?

Things of that nature.

The only thing he told me about it was that it is a Rossi 22 pump and the model number is 662259

They are a near-copy of an old Winchester pump 22 (with a safety switch added). Made in Brazil. I met a guy who had two of them in 22LR and two in 22MAG, liked them that much. I like the sights on them, a deep rear notch with a thin front blade.

AFAIK, they were made in 22lr and 22mag in the early 90s (before Taurus took over the production). Good quality, owners say they are reliable and accurate, decent sights. Rossi version is preferred to Taurus by many because it DOESN't have that annoying receiver top safety switch.
