Robberies on the way to or from the range?

Or could be at the range. I'm looking for news articles on bad guys robbing gun owners of their firearms. Can anybody recall seeing news articles on such robberies? Something that's not just anecdotal? Or has anybody had it happen to them personally? Please PM me if you'd rather not post it here. Thanks.

Slightly off-topic, but one day at the range a group of somewhat rough looking teenagers were shooting a Glock, when one of the girls, upon viewing the arsenal of weapons that other range users had arrayed on the shooting benches made the comment "this would be a perfect place to come jack some guns!"

I realized that she was right, that there was probably $10K+ worth of weapons on the benches, and from that moment on I've kept my eyes and ears open and always kept at least a sidearm loaded and ready at all times that I'm at the range.
