Don't know if anyone shoots RN ammunition in their .270 Win but I think it would make a fine pig hunting or just about anything else hunting round. I don't use it and have plenty of .270 loaded but $13.99 a box is tempting. Remember Graf's only charges $4.50 for handling and doesn't charge shipping. http://www.grafs.com/product/228502

For just about any hunting application out to 150 - 200yds RN bullets are not a hindrance and can be a better choice than pointed ones. Your opinion is right on and I'd say that round would make a superior hog round. I happen to use S & B 150gr semi-pointed in a couple of my .270s and they are excellent. I know of a few people who have tried Power-Shok ammo, along with several other types, and found it to be the most accurate in their rifles, with some finding .5" groups from it.
