I just got my 550 on wednesday night. Last night I built my reloading bench. Today I bolted it to the wall installed a recepticle and a light. I am taking a five minute break then i am going to bolt the press to the bench. I have the press with 9mm and .40 s&w setups. But now I need some recipes, preferibly some target loads. I have no interest in making defense loads just yet. Anyone with some good recipes??

140gr LRN, W231-5.3 gr., WSPP, Winchester brass
155gr FMJHP, W231 5.1
165gr FMJRN, W231 5.0
180gr FMJFP, W231 4.5
OAL 1.135
IMHO!
This receipe works well for me and is very accurate. Check and double check your work if your just beginning.

Good luck, have fun with your new loader.
Got mine in January-00 its the best!

In my experience, the following loads in 9mm Luger have worked well. By the way, what do you mean by "target loads", the following loads work in IPSC Competition (minor caliber)

5.2 Gr. Unique, 125 gr. RN Hard Cast Lead, sized .357" dia

5.9 Grains Accurate #5, same bullet. OAL with each load is approximately 1.165"

WORK UP TO THE ABOVE LOADS, FROM BELOW.

By target loads I mean somethng comfortable yet fairly accurate to shoot at the range and practice with. By the way thanks for the info, but I will primarily be using jacketed bullets. I work enough with lead at my job, and it is easier to clean my guns. I worked up some .40's last night and am headed to the range now. I'll update you later.
