Rimlock. What exactly is it?

 I've had a gunsmith mention in passing that a problem I'm having feeding in my CZ52 is "rimlock". I've also seen it mentioned in the KTOG discussion group, but nobody really explained it.

what exactly is it?

If it's what I'm thinking of, it's where the rim of the top cartridge gets behind the rim of the cartridge below it, causing a malfunction.

That's odd, though, in that it usually only happens with rimmed cartridges, such as .22.

Kel-Tec mentions the condition (not by name) in the manual for the P32. They recomend that you 1) take care not to push the rim of the loading round behind the rim of the previous round and 2) not push down the front of the loading cartridge on loading. Also, they suggest a firm tap on the back of the magazine to the align the rounds is a good practice (to seat the cartridges after loading it.
