I seem to recall reading somewhere that the rim thickness on 41 mag Starline brass was larger (thicker) than other brands. Anyone have Starline and another brand and could do a quick measurement and give some feedback?

I would gladly but I am 5500 miles from my box of Starline.. but give them a call on their 800. Search Starline & there they are. They are very helpful people. Mike in Peru Merry Christmas all !

I just grabbed a handful of Starline and a handful of R-P loaded rounds (the only two types I have handy; I have a bunch of empty brass buried under the bench but it's a bit cold to go digging).
The rim on both types measures .054 +/- .001 (.053-.055).

Edited to add--found a box of Winchester factory ammo--these too run around .055.

Thanks orionengnr - that was extactly the answer I was looking for. In the mean time I talked to Starline (now that it isn't the middle of the night) and they produce to .052-.055 and SAMI spec is .049-.059.
