RIA 1911 9mm?

So I was browsing over at 1911forum and there is a discussion there about RI coming out with a 9mm 1911. Anyone know anything about that? Interesting to, one of the fellas said he'd sure like to see it in a Commander. That really got me interested :cool: Not sure if that is actually in the works, but that'd be fun.

I'll probably call the guy thats got his info listed and see what kinda #s he has. Don't get me wrong, I still want my Commander in .45, but a 9mm would go great :D

There are 9mm Commanders around and they should sell pretty cheap. A good solid 9mm Commander size can be had from J&G Sales here in Prescott ofr about $140.00 +S&H. It is called a Star BM. They drop right in a 1911 holster, too. I have two that I like!

I've seen the Stars. Hmm, that sounded goofy :eek: There's something about the grip frame that I just don't like. It looks too straight..errr.. wide or something. I can't put my finger on it but it just doesn't look "right". Is it an SA pistol?
