That all depends on how bad you want one. Over on the FN forums there are people that happily paid over $3000 for them. I had the choice of a 16s ($2000) and a 17s ($2200) the day I bought mine. I bought the 16s because the 17s mags were impossible to find.
The SCAR is a nice rifle, but I don't think they are worth over $2000. If I hadn't got mine when I did, I wouldn't have one.
