Repairs

Specifically with S&W revolvers, do you recommend factory work for timing and lockwork repairs or do you use an outside the company gunsmith? Work involved is typical timing problems on model 29's and some lockwork on a 36. Also, has anyone had the warranty/recall work done on the 1076 decocker and is it a real issue?

If you go with factory, you are helping S&W make more money. I am sure someone out there can do as good or better of a job and keep the money you spend in the hands of freedom lovers.

If it's not warranty work, on their dime, the $75 outlay for round-trip shipping is better spent locally.
