I read this topic on another forum and thought it would go good here. I have been having trouble removing lead from my barrels, and tried thi method, and it works like magic. get a drinking glass, and half fill it with vinegar, top it off with hydrogen peroxide. Mix it up. drop in your barrel for 5 minutes, and run a jag/swab throught it, and repeat. the lead is gone, with no work, and no abrasion to the barrel. try it.

DO NOT ! mix baking soda and vinegar while cleaning barrels. This will cause an eruption that will leave you with a house full of suds.

Without the liquid, buy some bronze wool at a boating supply house. Wrap it around a brass brush. It cuts lead real fast. Black Powder cartridge long range shooters use it.
