Remmy 700 ejection problem

I have a Remington 722, chambered in .222 Rem. With RP or Fed or Win brass, it ejects just fine. With most of the Lapua brass, it will eject normally until a little build up is in the bolt face and then the rounds stick at about a 30 degree angle on the end of the bolt. Sometimes it will eject clear but most of the time, I must push the mouth end of the fired round down a time or two until it pops free of the extractor. The rifle has its original extractor from 1955 and until it was recently fed the expensive Lapua brass, I never had any problems. The rifle now has about 1000 rounds through it. Any suggestions on a fix
