Remington Law enforcement ammunition

So, I was getting ready for dove season today, which namely invovled cleaning out the hall closet and finding my vest and that case of #8 purchased last year. In my cleaning, I found a box of Remington 12 ga. shells, that were marked for Law Enforcement. The shells even had Law Enforcement stencilled on them.

I was reading the box and the data provided is no difference than the little boxes of five you would buy at the store.

What makes this special? And as a civillian, can I even own this?

Shouldn't be anything illegal about it. I have a case of Speer law enforcement gold dots, 38 special 135GR at home. The only difference between the personal defense ammunition and LE is that the LE is a 50 round box for about the same price as a 20 round box. :D

They're nothing special. "Law enforcement" marking is pure marketing. It doesn't really mean anything. Now if you lived in California possession of the empty box is probably a felony....
