Remington Law enforcement ammunition

So, I was getting ready for dove season today, which namely invovled cleaning out the hall closet and finding my vest and that case of #8 purchased last year. In my cleaning, I found a box of Remington 12 ga. shells, that were marked for Law Enforcement. The shells even had Law Enforcement stencilled on them.

I was reading the box and the data provided is no difference than the little boxes of five you would buy at the store.

What makes this special? And as a civillian, can I even own this?

Shouldn't be anything illegal about it. I have a case of Speer law enforcement gold dots, 38 special 135GR at home. The only difference between the personal defense ammunition and LE is that the LE is a 50 round box for about the same price as a 20 round box.

Made for a gov't agency typically means they paid too much for something they should have bought off the shelf

They're nothing special. "Law enforcement" marking is pure marketing. It doesn't really mean anything. Now if you lived in California possession of the empty box is probably a felony....
