I have an 870 left handed model and curious if there is anything different regarding replacement barrels between the left and right hand model? I currently have a longer barrel for hunting on my gun and looking at getting an 18ish barrel for home defense.
The barrels are different, since Remington made the LH 870 a true LH gun. The barrel hood is totally different on each barrel. They are mirror images of each other.
From time to time LH barrels show up, get one of those and shorten it.
