I seen a used 1100 LGS asking 375.00 seem firm on price.
Gun made in 1989 on a 1 to 10 maybe a good 8.
Stock has one scratch about 4" long seem only went threw the polyurethane finish.
Next blueing good shape.
I would need to plug the rear end stock came with a swivel plug.
Otherwise gun in real decent.
Forgot to mention barrel inside no rust excellent condition

I would pick it up for that price, don't even have to think about that. A solid 8 is tough to pass for that price.

Gas rings are o.k. just needs a new rubber O Ring.
I also noticed the chrome loading gate latch seem the plated chrome is flaking off.
I have to locate some 1" target loads at around 1150 fps.
I hope the recoil is not bad .
I have a 1100 in 20 ga. I can shoot all day without any problem.

I wonder if I can find something to plug the rear swivel hole and yet I don't want to refinish the stock.
I have a Marlin white dot bulleye plug but it is too small for the hole

a lot of people install initial badges in swivel holes. galazans sells them. makes a perfect cover for a hole...and gives the stock some class. cheap enough too. go see. (CSM.com)

heres one i installed on my trap gun. as you can see, it makes the hole go away as if the badge was meant to be there. they come in gold or silver. don't ask me why, but the previous owner had a swivel in that drop dead piece of wood!
it came off a SXM1, he must have been older and so it may have been a bit heavy for him to haul it from trap field to trap field without slinging it.......

it hides in a smaller sub-category. I believe its in stock parts or accessories. im on dial up so csm wont load or id give you an exact page.
ya gotta dig and scroll down a few pages in each category. they do have pics of the item to cue on.
good luck.

some call it an initial medalian. it was a bonified option for guns leaving factories in the day. it kept people from picking up the wrong gun in racks when most guns were common American made ones. and, with the 1100 so common, it might not be a bad idea. heres one installed on a Winchester model 50.

Well here are the update on the 1100 took down totally clean the gun oil it up change the O ring and shot 2 rounds sporting clays no hecups at all.
Ammo I used was Winchester double AA 1 1/8 at 2 3/4 fps 1145 fps.
First round 21 out off 25.
Round 2 got a little cold did 18 out of 25.
I did fix the hole.
I filled it with j@b 5 min weld then redrilled for Marlin bulleye plug it came out excellent.
I will say the gun fit almost perfect but about 1/2" too long
I can't see cutting the stock for A 1/2".
I have the same problem with my mint 1100 made in 1974 20 ga. Built on a 12 ga. Frame. It is a keeper for sure.
I thought I would have problems with the light FPS
But she ran like a champ.
