Question: Is the follower on a Remington Model 700 long action (standard '06) the same as a magnum (7mm)? I've heard that they're the same, and also, that they are not. Need the one true answer.
Same length action, but with a different sized bolt face. Magazine and follower is probably different as well since the 7mm cartridge is buffer in diameter due to the belt. However, you could probably manipulate the .30-06 magazine to feed the larger cartridge.
