Rem Gun Club loads

Does anyone have an idea what powder Remington uses in their gun club loads?
I ended up forgetting my shell bag Tuesday night so I paid way too much at the club for two boxes of Remy's Gun Club loads. Much to my suprise when I was cleaning my gun this morning it was a whole lot less crud in the barrel from the Gun Club shells than when I shoot my own Hogdon Clays load.
I thought Clays was a "cleaner" than some/most powder. Or could the rest of my load (Claybuster wad and or magnum shot) be causing the extra crud?
Thanks
E.

Like most manufactured ammunition, it will likely have been loaded with a non-cannister grade bulk powder that reloaders can't buy an exact equivalent to. This saves the manufacturers money, but they have to use pressure test equipment to determine the powder charges for each lot of the powder. It isn't the same from lot to lot.
