Reloder 16

I've been curious and finally bagged a can of Re-16. A number of my "pet loads" use Re-17, and I've been seeking a replacement. Today I got to the range with 8x57 and 9.3x62. Old Mauser rounds, but they love Re-17. Re-16 not so much. Basically, Re-16 is too bulky in these rounds. I did not get the velocity or the groups I hoped for. But data is always good. We will keep trying.

A side note: I used Ginex Large Rifle primers for my loads. They seem a bit "slim", as in little effort to seat. But they seem a bit tall. That said, I had no issues. If you need primers, I think these are OK.

I've tried RL16.
Got decent velocities, but HATED the recoil impulse!

A local distributor/wholesaler had RL17 the other month. I picked up a 5 lb jug of it & RL19.
Now if i could find small pistol & large rifle primers.

Well, Quickload says it may have a future with 250-3000 and 7x57. Guess I will work through this can and go from there. The only Re-17 I've seen was a very brief appearance at Powder Valley. I was too slow.
