That does look nice. I really like the look of a Sharps. Would like to shoot one some day. 'Course then I'd probably want to buy one...

Looks great! I think it looks like a Sharps now . . . a big improvement! Thanks for the photos . . . you know how much we like photos! :D

I agree it looks more authentic.

I know this isn't the woodworking forum but those of us who love to do this kind of thing always want to know;

"I stripped it" - How and with what?

Did you sand?

Did you fill?

Any other finish except oil?

How long did it take?

Inquiring minds want to know!

Thanks y'all. I stripped it with Klean Strip. I did sand it a little bit. I didn't have any filler or I would have used some. I intended to just use BLO on the bare wood but it wasn't as dark as I wanted. I used Min Wax dark walnut stain with no polyurethane. I was afraid the BLO would bleed out the stain so I just rubbed it down with Mobil Super motor oil. Once I get back to work and get caught up I may go back and clear coat it but right now just using what I have on hand.
