Redding sizer die question

Do any of you use the Redding size die with the carbide expander ball? I really don't like having to lube the inside of the case necks, (yes, I'm lazy ) and have been thinking about investing in one of these stems.
Do they really work without having to lube? I mean, I know they will "work", but how about neck stretching? Is it worse with the carbide, versus the old style with lubed necks?

You'll still have to use lube once the necks start to harden.

..which is pretty much after the first one or two loadings, so, if that is true, there is virtually no reason to spend the money on one.

Is that the consensus from those that have tried them? Gotta have lube after the necks get work hardened?
