Recommendations for ivory engraver?

I've purchased some pre-ban ivory 1911 grips from Ryan at thefinergrain.com and am looking for recommendations on an engraving shop. I'd like to add some Naval Aviator wings to the panels.

Does anybody have a recommendation for a shop that engraves ivory?

Better yet, does anybody have a recommendation for such a shop within face to face distance of Kansas City?

Not in Kansas,but I would check with Nutmeg LLC. The sell/do excellent work with ivory grips.

Call Dale Woody at www.gunfancy.com . I believe he does ivory work, but if not he probably knows someone who does.

Unless you want heavily-carved wings in relief, I would suggest that you be looking for a scrimshander, rather than an engraver.

Yes, scrim, not engrave.
Danny Caywood used to do this. Don't know if he still does with his gun manufacturing business keeping him busy anymore.
