Recoil spring question

I'm trying to order a set of weaker recoil springs for my M&P40 and the distributor I'm ordering from (maxmichel.com) doesn't have a place to specify the model you're ordering them for.

Are recoil springs universal or something?:confused:

No, they're not universal-doesn't your M&P use a one piece buffer/spring assembly like a Glock?

Also, why a weaker spring? Light loads?

Ahh, I see. You might have to call S&W...I did a search on Midway and didn't find anything, or on EFK's website. But, that can't be the only place to look...
