Recoil pad for Remington 700 .270

Does anyone have a recommendation for an aftermarket recoil pad for a Remington 700 in .270? It's an older model (my father's deer rifle he bought perhaps 25 years ago) and, if I recall, only has a plastic or metal butt plate.

Thanks!

Ad the kickeze for one to consider. All those mentioned are good.

I like the R3 on a shotgun. Have not tried it on a rifle.

I put a LimbSaver on mine. It was supposed to be a drop-in but the screw holes were off by a fraction and it looked bad. A minor modification to the pad corrected everything and the rifle is much more comfortable to shoot.

And to continue my quest to point out a complete lack or originality at Remington in the last 20 years, I would like to mention that the R3 pad is made by...................Limbsaver.

If your dad's rifle has a wood stock and it probably does you will probably want to have a gunsmith shorten the stock when installing a pad. If you don't you will change the length of pull dramatically. As skinewmexico stated the R3 and limbsaver pad are the same and I have been pleased with them.
