Rate The Guns

I'd like to do some quick reviews of guns we at TFL had experience with. Meaning guns we've either owned or shot and critically (objectively) examined their strengths and weaknesses. So leave your biases about caliber, materials, size, aesthetics, country of origin at the door. For example. Did the gunmaker succeed in (in your estimation) doing what they set out to do? Does the gun succeed in fulfilling its reason for being? Value, shootability, reliability, durability, and quality control are supreme.

I'm betting most people won't spend the time to assign an unqualified 1 to 5 rating. Your initial ratings show just how impossibly arbitrary such ratings can be, like the contrast between nearly identical guns (Sig 228/226 and G20/21).

There are too many things that go into rating a gun, like price, ergos, accuracy, value, construction, reliability to say that a Beretta is a 3 but a pump shotgun is a 5.

Maybe you could be more specific, or break the ratings down into categories.

Oh, all my guns are 5 - the 4s have been sold.

Your ratings would be combination of value, reliability, durability, shootability, quality control etc. Whether the ratings are from a gun mag or non-professional internet gun review the arbitrary and the subjective are unavoidable. We are human after all. Pretend you're a magazine writer and you've been assigned to rate guns on the star system (like a movie or a car). I just thought it'd be interesting to see snapshots of what our fellow members thought of various guns w/o the back and forth bickering.

My BHP MkIII: 5 stars

My FEG BHP clone: I would have said 2 when I got it, but I've done a LOT to it since then, so now I'd say 4.

Okay, there are my evaluations of four classics I own. However, I find all the comments, even bickering and disagreements, to be what I need to read in order to understand why someone rates a gun the way they do. Just reading the number of stars doesn't do much for my understanding. But, you asked, so here you are.
