Ranger M34 single shot .22 rifle

I need to identify this rifle, because I want to replace the bolt. It belonged to my Grandfather, and is atleast 50 years old. The gun will sometimes fire, when you close the bolt.

I think it may be made by Marlin.

It is marked

There is no serial number.

you are correct. The ranger 34 is a marlin 65 or 65A According to the cross-over list

I always wondered who made this gun, I only had my suspicions about it.

It has nice lyman sights on it, and I am pretty sure they are worth more than the gun. I would like to get if fixed, because it was a sweet shooter.
