I'm taking a friend of mine to the range tomorrow to introduce her to handgun shooting. I borrowed my Pop's Mark II for the occasion; the only 22 pistol I have is a P22 and it simply won't hold a candle to the Mark II for what I want to do and to my mind it's safer. I might bring the P22 as an example of a double action, but then again my SIG P226 will do that job better
Anyway, that Ruger is so pretty. I gave it the once over and touched up some blue that was getting thin. Hopefully now that I have it for a couple days, I can see why the thing jams frequently and correct it. I bet its the mags, but jams will help to a degree, when I show my friend the ropes
My friend is pretty excited. She and her husband live in Roxbury, and I've been urging them to get FIDs and a shotgun. I'll get her husband to the range sometime too, but I can only have one guest at a time down to the club. Should be a good trip
