i loaded several different .357 magnum 158 grn xtpfp as an eventual hog/deer load. I worked in .2 grn increments from 13.7 to 14.5 grns of 2400. 14.2 grns of2400 in new starline brass with Winchester spp and the xtp seem to be the preferred combo for my Rossi 92. I was getting great groups with no pressure signs.
I also worked up from 12.5 grns 2400 with 158 grn lrnfp I was surprised that up to 13.2 grns of 2400 had absolutely no leading in the rifle or my taurus revolver. The lead has a bhn of around 15 so it is not that hard. These loads were not as accurate as the xtp's.
All in all a good day!
