ok so brought the new guns out the the range. taurus 1911 functioned beautifully not one problem, soo smooth. even with cheap russian ammo went bang everytime. now to the heritage22. never had any problems with binding or light strikes but the fixed sights are definitely off. seems to shoot high and to the right. now the hi-point. its not new but there have been a lot of theads about hi-point reliablility recently so i figured i'd do a range report on it. shot 200 rounds, i did have 3 ftf with tulammo but with brass ammo shot fine.also i had about 4 light strikes all on the first round. i guess me pulling the slide by hand to load the magazine does not set the trigger spring right because it would not happen if i slid the slide into the slide lock notch and then let it release the slide on itself. all in all it was a good range day here in muggy florida, just have to figure out the sights on the heritage.
