range report, .357 BB out of Kimber K6

Got a chance to chronograph some of the .357 Buffalobore outdoorsman out of my Kimber K6, the 2" model. 1280 average for around 650 ME ft. lbs with the 180 grain HC.

Stout and loud, but very manageable although I only shot five rounds for the testing. Too expensive to shoot the whole day! Hands didn't sting and recoil was manageable.

Disproves the myth that .357 out of a short barrel is a waste of powder.
Guess what load I will be carrying into the woods!LOL

Awesome --- If you really want to manage it for fast follow up shots go to the larger grips kimber has. For me it does not hurt concealability

I have the new hogue monogrips with the wrap around backstrap and they make a world of difference! I thinned them down considerably on the sides for concealment, but left the finger grooves and the back strap original.

Those BB .357 180gr is pretty potent.

Labradar Muzzle Vel at 60 deg F

2 3/4" M66-8 ....... 1,312 fps
16" Rossi 92 ....... 1,894 fps
