Range in SE PA?

Hi All,

I'll be traveling to West Chester PA this weekend and wanted to take my AR-15 to sight in. Does anyone know of any ranges where I could sight in a rifle without too much hastle?

I am aware of Targetmaster neat the DE line, but they are indoor and I hear a little restrictive.

There's apparently a 100yd range on the gamelands in French Creek state park. I've never been there.

French Creek (not to be confused with French Creek Outfitters, an indoor range) is probably your best bet, provided you don't get shot by the yahoos that sometimes frequent the state game lands ranges. Obey the 3 round limit or you WILL be fined. Free otherwise.



Alternatively you can go south to Ommelanden range in New Castle, DE. Nice 50meter range, $2.50 per half hour. Can't shoot steel jacketed ammo (no Wolf etc.)

long ago and far away

Once upon a time, there was a berm pit arrangement at Caledonia SP on Hwy 30, between Gettysburg and Chambersburg.

I was working at Gettysburg and shot there a bunch. Good grief, just counted, that was.........30 years ago!!!!!!!!!!
