I have a 6" nickel Python that looks to be unfired, but over the years the previous owner was a little rough handling it and also, the nickel plating has some very slight pits and is thin in some spot. I would like to have it replated to new condition. Is there a Colt specialty shop other than factory that excells in this, or is the factory the only way to go.

Factory.

That way it'll have the original factory level finish AND the gun will take less of a value hit if the refinish is done by the factory instead of some non-factory re-finisher.

As an added advantage, while they have the gun they'll inspect it to make sure it's in proper adjustment and there are no problems.
