Python Hunter

Hi all,
Back in the very early '80s, I bought a brand new Python Hunter "set" that came in the Halliburton case with scope and accessories.

I bought it on a whim because I had always liked Pythons (now have 3 ;) ).
I've never fired it, and in fact it still has the string tag on the trigger guard although I took it out recently to re-oil it and saw that the foam liner was disintigrating so I'll have to do something about that.

I found out later that the Halliburton Hunters were only manufactured in 1981, but I'm hoping the Colt pros here can tell me:
1. How many of the Halliburton Hunters were made (the Halliburton sets, not just the pistol that was offered by itself for a longer period of time)?, and
2. Did the Halliburton Hunters have serial numbers disignating them as part of the sets or were they numbered in the same series as the rest of the '81 Pythons?
3. As mentioned, mine is NIB, but does the disintigrating foam caused by time affect the value of it much?

TIA,
Carter
