i was wondering if anybody knew of any places that sold kits to assemble your own flintlock pistols. i have always wanted to and i found a website that sold decently priced kits but i either didnt write it down or i lost the piece of paper that it was written on.....

i'd like to build a set of dualing pistols for display/limited use:D

You need to ask that question at muzzleloadingforum dot com. That is where the real muzzleloaders hang out and they will give you good information. There are several places where you can get what you are looking for.

Track is a popular place. Dixie has some stuff but they tend to stock cheap imported junk, you have to be very careful if you dont know what you are getting. NorthStarWest has the best flinters going. Chambers, and a half dozen other kit builders have excellent products.

Pecatonica River is THE place to get original style kits(not exactly kits but recommended parts sold seperatley) or mix and match your own. They also sell blemished stocks pretty cheap. They use top quality parts which aren't cheap but you get what you pay for.
