PT-22 question

I've fallen in love with the PT-22. I just enjoy the heck out of putting rounds through it. BUT, I know it's only spupposed to be used with max bullet performance of 40 gr. @ 1280fps. Would this include the Wally World's cheap federal or winchester's Xpert brand? They both say high velocity not hyper velocity. I've noticed that the slide is slamming the frame near the barrel pivot enough to show some deformation of the frame (yeah know, sorting of dings). Is this expected from std velocity ammo? My slide on my pt22 does the same thing to my frame. I shoot the federal and remington cheap box ammo in mine. I think were suppose to stay away from stingers, vipers, quickshok ect., the really hot stuff.

My PT-22 shows the exact same slide wear.

I use primarily Winchester Wildcat in mine.
