Problem loading Keltec P 32

The pistol is the newer model and I have had it for about 3 years. In that time I have put about 1500 rounds of factory ammo through it without any problems. So here is the situation. When I push an empty magazine into the grip it goes in easily and locks in place. However, when I put 7 rounds in the magazine it does not go in all the way and something is stopping it. I always make sure to push in the plastic magazine release button when doing this, but about 1/2'' of the magazine protrudes from the grip. The problem first started a couple of weeks ago and I had to slam the base of the mag to get it to click into place. Now this no longer works. I can't make any sense out of this and would appreciate any help or advice.

Hi Michael T,
Thanks for the advice. I did what you suggested and it solved the problem.
I took the magazine apart and cleaned it in detail. Most of the crud in the magazine was in the top 1/2". There was also a great deal on the sides of the follower. This would explain why the magazine would jam when it needed just another 1/2" to be seated.
