Primer seated upside down

Push it out with a slow push on the press handle.
I have done a number and not popped one yet.
I paint it black with a marker and reuse it right way up, but save the round for practice.

Same here ^. Hearing and vision protection is a good idea - just in case.

P.S., in 39 years of loading - some quarter-million rounds - I've only up-ended a primer twice.

Make sure primer catch bin is empty, to avoid looking for one good primer in a bin of spent primers. great idea to mark primer with permanent marker, if it should fail to fire in the future, you'll know why.
