Primer question?

I am loading some .308 cartridges for use in my mauser sporter bolt-action. Local store has one box of CCI #34, which are military 7.62 primers. Is there any reason I should't use these?

No there is no reason not to.

The CCI#34 wore made for military rifles.
It's OK to use them.

Rifles with free floating firing pins need a heaver primer.
M1A, M16, M1, etc. its to prevent slam fires.
I use them in a 7mm Spanish mauser.
