I recently found a brand new Sig 550 in a gunshop on consignment. It is the dull olive green color with the integral bipod and the snap together mags. I am not sure how old it is, I would think it would be pre 89 but was in perfect condition. The asking price was $11,000. Is this close or is the guy dreaming

I don't have a direct answer for you, but my personal opinion is that anybody who pays that kind of money for a rifle is proving that some folks have more money than good sense. Not far off from, "Cocaine is God's way of saying you have too much money."
