I may have the opportunity to buy a Ruger Security Six. It is stainless steel, 6 inch barrel with wood grips. It is in excellent condition and probably has less than 300 rounds through it. Anyone have an idea what a fair price would be?
Depends where you live among other things. I paid $325.00 for my 4" stainless from a friend. You probaly could get $400 for a 6" lighly used, maybe a little more for somebody who wants one bad.
I just paid $268+tax for a 98% SS 2.75" Security Six at a local gun show. I saw 2 other 4" Sixes (1 SS & 1 blue) both were $275.
I think a reasonable price is HIGHLY location dependent. I suggest you search on gunbroker for all auctions that ended in the last 90 days to give you a range!
