A few months ago I bought a S&W wooden box and I was surprised to find that it was for a 4" K frame revolver. All of these I have seen in the past were for N frame guns except for a few special editions. Now, with that in mind, the lid of the box has a decal with images and text celebrating the 1976 Bicentennial. Not sure if original or if someone just stuck that on there.
Anyone know of any Bicentennial issue K frames? Any info about the authenticity of this box? Thanks.
