Pre Series 70 firing system

On the "new" Colt 1911A1, Colt (on its website) says that this pistol has a "Pre Series 70 firing system." Exactly, what is this feature and how is it different from the Series 70 kind. (BTW, I am well-acquainted with the Series 80 variety).

As usual, your experience and knowledge is appreciated.

?? I think it means it would be GI 45 compatible, in other words about the same but not cheapened as in the Series 70. The series 70 IIRC had the spring finger bushing rather than the GI solid bushing.
